FAFSA

The third step to becoming a Volunteer Bridge Student is to complete the FAFSA.  If you wish to receive any form of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, or loans, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  • All Volunteer Bridge students should complete the 2016-2017 FAFSA (for fall 2016 and spring 2017). If you plan on beginning the program in summer 2016, you should also complete the 2015-16 FAFSA.
  • Be sure to list Pellisippi State Community College as your first school choice (code 012693). You do not need to list UT on your FAFSA, since PSCC will be managing all of your financial aid during the Volunteer Bridge Program.
  • Make sure that your TN Promise Scholarship and TN HOPE Lottery Scholarship are sent to PSCC. If you have any questions, contact the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation at 1-800-342-1663.
