Volunteer Bridge Living & Learning Community Mentors

Peer Mentors are upper-division students who assist incoming students’ transition into academic and student life at the University of Tennessee. LLC mentors live in Clement Hall alongside the current group of Volunteer Bridge students. They attend events and support students during their time in the program.


Peer Mentors who are part of the LLC Peer Mentor Partnership Program will receive a $1,000 scholarship for service during the course of the academic year, payable in two equal $500 allocations. Peer Mentors who only serve one semester, only receive the scholarship for that semester.

Position Description

We are looking for motivated former Volunteer Bridge students who wish to make a positive and significant impact on the lives of incoming Volunteer Bridge students. Peer mentors build community, act as a campus resource, make connections with staff, and positively contribute to the success of their peers.

Whether assisting a student in identifying clubs that meet their needs, giving personal advice or building community by doing fun and educational programming, Volunteer Bridge peer mentors act as a vital component of our Living & Learning Community. We hope that you will consider making a difference by becoming a Volunteer Bridge Living & Learning Community peer mentor.
